Double room with balcony, decorated in shades of green.
It takes its name from the church of Santa Maria dell’Idria, on one of Modica’s four hills. The church is at the heart of the «Marti ri Littria», Idria Tuesday, celebrated on the Tuesday after Easter. At the end of the 1800s it was one of the few small churches still open in Modica, and mass was said there only on Tuesdays: a custom with very ancient roots, going back as far as the year 431.
Double room with a balcony over the square, decorated in shades of white. A cot can be added.
It is dedicated to the «Dente», a lively, cultured quarter that marked important moments in Modica’s history. Below the watchtower lies the «Cartidduni» (Cartellone) quarter, once home to Modica’s Jewish community. And a little anecdote: the name «Dente» (tooth) comes from a slip in the oral tradition of «Oriente», in Sicilian «Urienti», which heard as «U renti» becomes exactly «the tooth».
Inspired by Via Amore Vero, this room has touches of red and shades of grey: up above, the Moors’ heads, eternal Sicilian lovers, and in the bathroom a chromotherapy shower with a double shower head. Via Amore Vero is a narrow, steep flight of steps in Modica that, after the climb, rewards you with the view of a little church, one of the many hidden gems of Modica.
In Modica there is a street with this name, «True Love»: a street made mostly of steps, linking the long Via Fontana with Corso Vittorio Emanuele and ending at the doors of the church of San Teodoro, high up in Modica Alta. In this room we wanted to evoke Love, with no exceptions: for a person, like the love that may bind you as you read this, or for Modica, like ours as we write it.

Ciarciolo is the room inspired by Marina di Modica, the seaside village: fittingly, the furnishings and bathroom are in shades of blue. It is very bright, looks out over both the terrace and the square, and has a sofa bed, so it can host a family of up to 4.
A haven of calm inspired by Marina di Modica, which we invite you to visit: it is only 20 minutes away by car. Here, between the waves lapping the golden coast and the sky turning pink at sunset, the story began with small communities of Arab fishermen, the first true inhabitants of this stretch of coast.
